The cryptocurrency market cap saw net inflows of around $10 billion over the past 24 hours and currently stands at $806.96 billion — up 1.35%.

Bitcoin and Ethereum’s market caps grew 1.09% to $322.14 billion and 1.74% to $148.95 billion, respectively.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies all recorded profits during the last 24 hours. Solana led the market, gaining above 11%. Other top gainers among the top 10 assets included Litecoin, which rose by over 7%, and Polkadot, that increased by around 4%.

Over the reporting period, the market cap of Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) remained flat at $66.24 billion and $44.62 billion, respectively. BinanceUSD (BUSD) dropped to $16.52 billion.

Bitcoin

Over the last 24 hours, Bitcoin grew 1.11% to trade at $16,737 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance stayed flat at 39.9%.

Throughout the festivities, BTC traded above $16,500, touching a peak of $16,759 during the last 24 hours.

Ethereum

Ethereum recorded a gain of 1.71% over the last 24 hours to trade at $1,217 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance increased to 18.5%.

ETH mostly traded between $1100 and $1200 throughout the holidays. In the last 24 hours, the asset peaked at $1219.

Top 5 Gainers

Creditcoin

CTC is the day’s biggest gainer, rising roughly 22% in the last 24 hours to $0.54. It was unclear why the token was rising. Its market cap stood at $113.73 million.

Lido DAO Token

LDO rose by 12.69% over the reporting period to $1.14 as of press time. The staking service provider became the dominant DeFi protocol by TVL. Its market cap stood at $944.62 million.

Solana

After an abysmal 2022 price performance, SOL is one of the few digital assets that started the new year strongly. CryptoSlate data shows that it increased by 11.7% to $11.00 as of press time. Its market cap stood at $4.05 billion.

OKB

The OKX-backed token gained 10.95% in the last 24 hours to trade at $30.12. Its market cap stood at $1.81 billion.

LINK

LN is up 10.89% over the reporting period to $25.71 as of press time. Its market cap stood at $161.04 million.

Aragon

ANT is the day’s biggest loser, shedding 4.44% over the last 24 hours to $2.12. Its market cap stood at $89.37 million.

iExec RLC

RLC decreased 3.01% over the reporting period to $1.17 as of press time. Its market cap stood at $95.23 million.

NEXO

NEXO fell 2.82% in the last 24 hours to $0.68. The crypto lender was one of the few businesses that exited 2022 unscathed despite the market contagion that took its rivals. Its market cap stood at  $381.88 million.
